Halogens are present in salts as ions. So a salt may contain a fluoride, chloride, bromide or iodide ion. These are collectively called halide ions.
Edutech Science Lab helps you to perform short experiments to identify the halide ion present in a salt.
Four salt bowls are displayed. Each of it contains a different halide ion. To begin the experiment, choose one of the salts.
To determine the halide ion present in the salt you chose, you need to perform Beilstein and Silver Nitrate Tests.
